Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Sawtooth Elementary in Twin Falls went into what the district called a soft lockdown this Friday morning while Police were serving a search warrant.

Eva Craner with the school district said that the lockdown was initiated at 8:45 a.m. and was lifted around 9 a.m. That type of lockdown means the front doors are locked and that no one is allowed in or out of the building. Parents were notified of the lock-down, Craner said.

Craig Stotts with the Twin Falls Police Department said that they were asked to assist the Idaho Attorney General’s office in serving a search warrant at a home in the neighborhood near the school. Emergency services such as the fire department and the Emergency Medical Technicians and an ambulance used the city pools parking lot to be near the scene in case their services were needed.

Officials from the Attorney General’s Office would not comment as it’s an ongoing investigation.
