Last week, we were excited to find out that a Twin Falls company would be featured on ABC's Shark Tank. So, what happened?

Melni Connectors, who invented a genius electrical connector, pitched the idea to the five billionaire investors (a.k.a. "Sharks") in the hopes of making a deal.

Landing a deal with a Shark means getting a cash investment in return for an equity stake in the company. A company may also enjoy additional myriad benefits such as the Shark's real-world connections, manufacturing facilities, and expertise.

Melni Connectors successfully landed a deal with billionaire and tech mogul Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks. While they asked for $500,000 for a 5% equity stake (a $10 million dollar valuation), Cuban negotiated to $500,000 for a 12% equity stake.

Congratulations to Melni Connectors!
