Twin Falls city manager is urging the city council to look ahead into the cities future. City manager Travis Rothweiler told the council Monday to look at the long term needs of Twin Falls as the budget process begins.

Rothweiler told the Times News there is an advantage to taking a long term approach when it comes to fiscal years. According to city staff revenues and expenditures are looking good for fiscal year 2012. At the same time, the city is working on a strategic plan that is aimed at shaping the city for the next 15 years.
