Twin Falls City Council may finally decide on the fate of the parking meters in downtown Twin Falls and a host of other parking issues.

However, few are holding their breath since this issue has come before the council several times in the last several years.  Tonight though the council could vote on a proposal that would eliminate further use of the parking meters as well as eliminate leasing of individual parking spaces.  Last week the city council decided to revisit the issue today.  Many residents against  the meters say it’s time they go and time that downtown gets with the rest of the businesses in the city and stop charging for parking.
