Twin Falls Bomb Squad Near CSI [Updated]

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - The Twin Falls Police Department bomb Squad is currently staged near the north view apartments on Washington Street across from the College of Southern Idaho.

Currently, authorities are evacuating the building due to a suspicious device. According Josh Palmer with the city of Twin Falls, they received a call at 10:45 am after workers found a suspicious device in a bathroom of one of the apartments. Twin Falls Police, The Bomb Squad and magic valley Paramedics are on the scene.

UPDATE 12:50 PM -- The Bomb Squad has sent in a robot and has removed the device. Authorities have detonated what appeared to be a 6-inch piece of pipe. That happened behind some sand bags. There have been no injuries reported. It was destroyed using a small amount of explosives.

Authorities are asking everyone to stay away from the area. They are staging the residents who live in the complex in the parking lot of the Softball Field at CSI.
