TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-The Twin Falls Sheriff’s office has finished the investigation into a deadly shooting in Murtaugh last year. Authorities have determined the death was a result of self-defense. According to the Sheriff’s office deputies responded to a  fight on the night of Arpil 24th,  2012 on 4808 East ant 2900 North. When they arrived they found two men with gunshot wounds as well as one female, who was not injured, and a car fully engulfed in flames.

Mucio-Olayo was transported by air to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Regional where he later died.  Javier Carbajal-Galvan, 28, was transported by ground.  A third victim, Edgar Trinidad-Garcia, 23, of Burley, left the scene before deputies arrived. The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office and Prosecuting Attorney’s Office have since completed their investigation and found that Raquel Martinez was acting in self-defense and no charges will be filed. Investigators found that an argument began between Mucio-Olayo, Carbajal-Galvan and Raquel E. Martinez. Jose Mucio-Olayo fired a small caliber rifle at Javier Carbajal-Galvan at close range striking him several times. Raqeul Martinez shot Jose Mucio-Olayo with a large caliber handgun in self-defense, fatally wounding him.
