MIDDLETON (KTVB) -- Seven people, including three children, were hospitalized Tuesday evening after a two-car crash in Canyon County.

Idaho State Police say the wreck happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Duff Lane and Purple Sage Road.

Thirty-two-year-old Christopher Brisco of Nampa was headed north on Duff Lane in an Isuzu box truck when he failed to stop at the stop sign, police say. Brisco's truck continued into the intersection, where it was hit by a Chevrolet Suburban driven by 29-year-old Austin Colton of Middleton.

The impact pushed both vehicles off the road and into a ravine, causing them to roll.

Colton and the three children in his car were taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, as were the two men in the delivery truck.

Twenty-nine-year-old Sheena Colton, a passenger in the SUV, was airlifted to the same hospital. Everyone in both vehicles was wearing sealtbelts. The conditions of the injured people are unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
