LEMHI COUNTY, Idaho (PRESS RELEASE)-On June 12, 2016, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a rollover crash on State Highway 28 near milepost 69, south of Gilmore Summit in Lemhi County, ID. 

 

David M. Mech, 40, of Truth or Consequences, NM, was driving southbound on State Highway 28 in a 2005 Chevrolet pickup, pulling a horse trailer.  The trailer fishtailed, and the driver lost control of the vehicle, then drove off the left shoulder.  The pickup and trailer became detached, and the pickup rolled.

 

Also in the vehicle were Amber A. Mech, 32, of Truth or Consequences, NM, and a minor child.  All subjects were wearing seatbelts.  David Mech was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, ID.   Amber Mech and the minor child were transported by ground ambulance, also to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
