POTLATCH, Idaho (KTVB) -- Authorities in northern Idaho say a 12-year-old boy driving an all-terrain vehicle with two 10-year-old girls as passengers crashed into a tree.

Authorities tell the Lewiston Tribune that the boy was flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, after the crash at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

State police Lt. Allen Oswald says the boy was in critical condition Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the girls were taken to Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, where one was treated and released. The other on Tuesday was in stable condition.
