It certainly looks like it's the most wonderful time of the year for Thomas Rhett and his sweet family.

Rhett's wife, Lauren, turned to Instagram on Saturday (Dec. 23) to share the family's adorable 2017 Christmas card, which shows Thomas and Lauren with their two young daughters, all wearing matching Christmas pajamas and flanked on either side by the two family dogs — both of whom have matching Christmas sweaters on. The card reads, "Hallelujah: Merry Christmas love the Akins."

"What a year we’ve had, my goodness hahah," Lauren to accompany the sweet picture. "Thanking Jesus for it all. Merry Christmas from our family to yours."

The picture was taken by videographer and photographer Kailey Dickerson, who is married to "Yours" singer Russell Dickerson. The couples are good friends, and Lauren was one of a group of country music wives who turned out to support Kailey at Dickerson's album release event in October. They also all got together to go Christmas caroling with their friend Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line and his wife, Hayley.

Rhett and Lauren began the year as a childless couple, and end it with two daughters. They brought home their adopted daughter, Willa Gray, from Uganda in May and welcomed their biological daughter, Ada James, in August. They have been eagerly anticipating their first Christmas as a family.

“You know, growing up, waiting for Christmas felt like you were sitting there waiting for six years," Rhett says. "And now that we have kids, I do think that little anxious feeling of ‘God it’s gonna take me forever to fall asleep tonight’ is gonna be back — because we know that that’s what Willa and Ada are thinking about. So, it’ll be fun."

Rhett is also celebrating great career success in 2017 with his current album, Life Changes, which reached No. 1 on multiple charts when it debuted. He's scored two back-to-back No. 1 singles from the project with "Craving You," which features Maren Morris, and "Unforgettable." Life Changes was inspired by the enormous changes Rhett has gone through personally over the last few years, and the album is nominated for Best Country Album in the 2018 Grammy Awards.
