The resolution differences in Thief will determine just how clear your cut from the shadows is going to be.

Eurogamer reported that Thief will clock in at 30 frames per second for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Similar to games like Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, the PlayStation 4 version of Thief will run at a higher resolution compared to its Xbox One counterpart.

Thief director Nicolas Cantin offered he didn't see it as much of an issue though. "You really need good eyes to see the difference," Cantin told the site. The same could be said for how Cantin viewed the current gen versions versus their next-gen brethren. "The immersion is more [on next-gen]," Cantin said. "We put more detail in, more special effects. But at the same time, we kept the same gameplay experience with the current-gen and the next-gen versions."

For PlayStation 4, expect a 1080p resolution for Thief, while Xbox One players are going to have a 900p native resolution. Given that this is only a small difference (compared to the recurring 1080p PlayStation 4 / 720p Xbox One resolution difference with multiple titles), most players would probably not be able to tell the difference while playing.

Thief is due in for a Feb. 25 release for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
