Square Enix has released a new gameplay video for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call and announced a contest for the Distant Words: Final Fantasy Concert tour.

Starting on Aug. 5, Final Fantasy fans will be able to enter a special contest for Square Enix that will give you a chance to win a variety of amazing gifts. Musicians can enter the contest by creating a music video of yourself playing the main theme of Final Fantasy. Every submitted video must be one minute and thirty seconds long and should include a sign in the video indicating the person's favorite Final Fantasy game. Check the provided video for more details. Anyone who admits XII or XIII is their favorite is automatically disqualified (just kidding, sorta).

The series' longtime composer, Nobuo Uematsu, will be judging the contest. The grand prize winner will win a complimentary trip for two to attend a concert of Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy, every official numbered Final Fantasy soundtrack ever made, one Static Arts figure, a signed Collector's Edition of Curtain Call and a signed Limited Edition Japanese 3DS system. Runners-up will be able to win the same soundtracks, signed Collector's Editions of Curtain Call and FF Static Arts figures. This Legacy of Music Contest will run from Aug. 5 through Aug. 24.

Be ready to groove to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call when it launches on Sept. 16 for $39.99 exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS. Pre-ordering the game now will get you a free five-track remix CD. Square Enix has even released some new Curtain Call videos to boot.
