As part of their E3 presentation, Microsoft showed a gameplay video of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt.

The sequence shows Geralt of Rivia, the series' protagonist, hunting down a griffin in a mountainous region known as No Man's Land. Using new tracking abilities, Geralt is able to trail the flying beast to the top of a mountain, where he engages in a dramatic head-to-head battle, eventually walking away with his trophy; the Griffin's severed head.

The Witcher series has always been regarded for its visuals, and the third iteration is no different. The lush, colorful environments, realistic lighting and excellent character models make great use of the Xbox One's hardware. As Geralt battles various human enemies and the sizable griffin, we're treated to an impressive display of his fighting abilities as he utilizes both steel and sorcery.

Wild Hunt is being developed by CD Projekt RED and published in North America by WB Games. It is scheduled for release February 24, 2015.
