Yahoo News reported that a U.S. military helicopter was shot down by the Taliban in Afghanistan over the weekend.

30 Americans and eight Afghans were killed when it crashed . . . making it the single biggest loss for U.S. troops in the ten years we've been in Afghanistan.

And the helicopter was filled with 22 elite Navy SEALs . . . 20 of whom were from SEAL Team Six, the unit that took out OSAMA BIN LADEN.  Although none of the SEALs killed in the helicopter crash participated in the Osama raid.

When the helicopter was shot down, they were on their way back from a mission to help some Army Rangers engaged in a gun battle with the Taliban.

Just so you know, even after U.S. troops are withdrawn from Afghanistan . . . which could happen by 2014 . . . a ton of special forces units will stay behind for counterterrorism missions.
