The Postal Service is Raising Prices, Again

If you hate sending letters because it is expensive you are going to hate this information. The Postal Service announced that starting January 27th, the price of a first-class stamp will increase one cent to 46 cents. International mailings will also increase in price.
The financial crunch is largely due to a law passed in 2006 in which Congress ordered the Postal Service to put money aside for future retiree benefits.
The Postal Service has been begging Congress for financial relief, but Congress has made it clear that it won’t help the Postal Service until after Election Day (at the earliest).
