Remember in 2007 when Apple had just unveiled the first ever Apple iPhone? Remember the buzz surrounding it? Remember how everyone was talking about it?

As of June 11th, 2013, the iPhone will be obsolete.

I'm sure there were just legions of cheers from Android and Windows fans upon reading that, but hold on. Apple isn't retiring the iPhone, or dropping it from product lines.

"Obsolete" is a term Apple uses to describe products that will no longer be serviced. That means you can no longer get replacement parts or get your 1st Generation iPhone fixed by Apple after June 11th, 2013. This is pretty common practice for Apple.

Does anyone still have a 1st gen iPhone? I know Apple dropped software support quite some time ago.
