Bethesda has finally announced the release date for The Elder Scrolls Online, accompanying the news with a new gameplay video.

The announcement was made on the Beth Blog, where the dev informed us the massively multiplayer online role-playing game will first see release worldwide for PC and Mac players on April 4, 2014. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One fans will have to wait until June 2014.

There's an extended message from The Elder Scrolls Online Game Directory Matt Firor on the game's official site, thanking everyone who's had a role in the game, as well as the fans. Firor also explains the need for a staggered rollout and tells beta hopefuls that he hopes they get a chance to play in the coming weeks before launch.

While we wait out the next couple of months for The Elder Scrolls Online's release, let's check out the new gameplay trailer, "The War in Cyrodiil," and take a look at some of the PvP we'll see in-game.
