Terry’s Time Machine: Hot Topics For May 2011
I think it's fascinating to see what we were talking about one year ago. The results are often surpising, but always interesting. Here's what we were talking about in May of 2011.
Brad posted this wonderful video. Here's how he described it: You’ve probably spent more than a few minutes at work, snickering at the People of Walmart website. Now, your favorite pow pics are set to music. Hit the jump and watch the video. Enjoy.
From Jackie: Marshall Zhang is an 11th grader at Bayview Secondary School in Richmond Hill, Canada who decieded to researching cystic fibrosis, and came up with a theory that if you used a certain mix of drugs, it could completely stamp out the effects of the disease.
Last year we survived another doomsday prophecy. Terry says: Recently a fringe Christian sect predicted the rapture is happening today. Yahoo News reports they made the same prediction in 1994 and were wrong, but this time they were serious. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) they were wrong. Again. No one is missing. There are no empty piles of clothes.
Brad introduced us to Bello Maasaba: Maasaba is an Islamic faith healer in Niger who has married 107 women and fathered a whopping 185 children. Polygamy is common in the African country, but Maasaba’s tally is high even by that nation’s standards.
Brad posted a video of the caped crusader getting a serious beatdown on the Las Vegas Strip.
