HANSEN, Idaho (KLIX) – If you cross the Hansen Bridge to get to work, you might want to leave a little earlier next week. You should expect some delays beginning Monday.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department, a lane restriction on the bridge will be implemented for five days next week as inspectors examine the bridge girders and the underside of the bridge deck. During their work the bridge will be reduced to one lane between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Drivers should watch for flaggers and can expect minor delays of up to 10 minutes, according to the ITD news release issued Thursday afternoon. A 14-foot width restriction for oversize loads will be in effect during work hours.

ITD cautions drivers who use the bridge to keep a sharp eye for crew members as they do their work.
