JEROME, Idaho (KLIX)- Two teens are behind bars after Jerome authorities responded to shots fired during the Easter weekend.

According to the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to shots fired near 400 North and 200 East at around 11:25 p.m. Authorities say the victim allegedly found three people, all males, dumping trash on his property. After being confronted by the property owner the three agreed to pickup the trash and leave. However, authorities say one of the males charged the property owner and fired several shots from a small hand gun. The victim told police the suspects took off in a white SUV pulling a small trailer.

Jerome Police later found a vehicle matching the description. A short chase took place and later ended in the 800 block of West Ave H. Two Juveniles were arrested and taken to the Snake River Detention Center in Twin Falls. One 15 year old was charged with Driving without Privileges and Eluding Officers, and a 17 year old was charged with Aggravated Assault and Minor in Possession of Hand Gun. An adult male was released without charges.
