MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (KTVB) - Two teenagers were injured when a car hit them in a residential neighborhood Tuesday evening.

Mountain Home Police Officer Melanie Broughton said the boy and girl, both 16 years old, were standing nearby when a Chevrolet Cruze driven by 27-year-old Michael Meyers hit a parked car before crashing into the teens.

The girl was trapped under two vehicles, Broughton said. She had to be extricated by the Elmore County Rescue team. Witnesses told police that Meyers was driving on the wrong side of the street just before the crash.

He was found unconscious in the car. Meyers and the teens were taken to St. Luke's Elmore. The boy and girl were treated and later released with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation. Police have not said whether they suspect alcohol played a role.
