Yesterday, Target, Novo Nordisk, Home Depot and Wal-Mart announced they were dropping Paula Deen

According to Target, "We have made a decision to phase out the Paula Deen merchandise in our stores as well as on Target.com.  Once the merchandise is sold out, we will not be replenishing inventory."

Home Depot and Wal-Mart are pretty much saying the same thing.

And QVC said it's not working with Paula in the near future, but they seem to be leaving some room to bring her back in the future.  QVC said, "People deserve second chances. And we always strive to do the right thing."

I've got to say that I'm a little disappointed with Target, Home Depot and Wal-Mart.  Notice that they're going to ditch her but they're going to let her current stuff sell out first.  I'm not saying those companies shouldn't be able to pull the products.  These companies are free to do business with whomever they choose.  And if they want to sever the relationship, that's thier call.  I just think it's a punk move to to cut ties on some kind of moral high ground but leave the current inventory to sell.  If they really cared, they'd pull the products off the shelves and take the hit.
