I used to laugh to myself as my dad would tell me about walking up hill, in the snow, (both ways) to school. And how all they had was a tin can and a stick and he and his friends would play for hours.
That got me to thinking about my "back in my day" story...
With recent information stating the demise of the DVD within the next 5 years, it comes as a big surprise to me that the majority of Americans still own a VCR.
Last week I took my son Jack to his cousin's birthday party. I was amazed to find a TV/VCR combo that was actually still in use there. I don't have anything against VHS personally, other than it's a horribly antiquated format, but it made me think.
At our house, we don't even have a DVD player, let alone a VCR. We have two digital streaming Roku using Netflix, Hulu, and a media server running Plex
