June 1, 2011 Normally, I try to go shopping without my husband because it is easier that way. Things were a little different this weekend, my husband decided that he wanted go shopping with me. So I let him tag along and like always my husband was bored, miserable and kept mumbling things under his breath. I am sure he was saying nothing but good things.

What?? I don't know about you, but I get a little more stressed when my husband starts helping out with household chores. Apparently I am the only one who feels this way because USA Today says that in a recent study done by the team at UCLA women's stress levels are lowest when they team up with their husband to tackle the work around the house.
For men, it's the opposite . . . their stress level is the lowest when they're kicking back and relaxing while their wives do everything.

If you think splitting the chores with your spouse 50-50 is going to make the resentment and inequality in your relationship magically disappear . . . NOPE.
According to a new book called "Spousonomics", couples who divide chores right down the middle end up just as unhappy as other couples.
It's because not everyone is good at every chore, and certain people hate certain chores more than other people. So instead of doing the ironing, which you're good at, you HAVE to wash the dishes and walk the dog . . . and you hate those.
Those chores take you longer . . . you miss out on time to do things you really want . . . and you end up unhappy.
Next time your husband or wife does something that makes you furious, here's the best thing you can do for the marriage. Confront them . . . scream at them . . . and then flat-out REJECT their apology and hold a permanent grudge.
According to a new study from the University of Tennessee, when you forgive your spouse for doing something bad, it doesn't make your marriage better . . . it makes it WORSE.
