If you have been in a school lately, you can't help but think if the terrible tragedy that took place in Connecticut. Yesterday I went to talk to a teacher for a brief moment and while usually I just walk into the school and take care of business, things were a little different yesterday.
Earlier, we reported about a young boy from Dietrich, who died late Saturday afternoon from self-inflicted strangulation after playing the choking game
According to the Dangerous Behaviors Foundation, the choking game is on the rise and children of all ages are participating in this fatal game as a means to get high without the use of drugs or alcohol.
The OMS Track Project committee has begun a million penny drive to begin the fundraising necessary to redo the Vera c. O’Leary Middle School track. As a part of that fundraising effort two projects are slated for September.

Robert Stuart recently achieved "New School Status" through an application process and meeting certain goals. I was watching the news and spotted the story today about the children in Meridian and Nampa walking out in protest of education reform.
