Could the Internet Kill Snow Days?

San Francisco Chronicle reported that this year, more and more schools started experimenting with "virtual" days when it was too snowy to safely get kids to school.  Teachers broadcasted their lessons online and their students were required to watch and participate.

By holding virtual lessons, the schools don't have to make up the missed school days at the end of the year.

More Schools are Getting Rid of Co-Ed Lunches

More and more schools across the country are moving away from co-ed lunches, and making boys eat with boys, and girls eat with girls.  And the reasons are pretty sad for both genders.

 For the boys, schools have found that if they're not around girls, they're less likely to show off and FIGHT.  For the girls, schools find that if they're not around boys . . . they're more likely to EAT.

Cruelest School District Ever?

On Tuesday, kids in the Haywood County school district in North Carolina got some great news.  SNOW DAY.  You're off today.  Life is good.

 It was quickly followed by a kick in the face about as hard as you could ever get.  In what seems to be an effort to be the most hated school district ever, Haywood rescheduled that school day . . . for SATURDAY.

A Strip Club Owner Donates $20,000.00 To a School [POLL]

 

Roosevelt Elementary School in West Palm Beach, Florida is in serious financial trouble.  It has the highest percentage of low-income students of any school in the city, and it's desperate for funding.

So a local charitable organization called Rodriguez Charities stepped up and donated $20,000 to the school.
