February 24, 2011 Annette Gerhardt's daughter Enalya had been misbehaving, so she decided to scare the 6-year-old by taking her to the local police station and telling her that this is where bad girls end up.
But when the Staten Island, New York woman tried to get the police officers to play along, she was the one who got the fright.
Annette and her fiance Gerardo, who was also in on the ruse, were both arrested for misdemeanor child endangerment once they left their daughter in the station. Police suspect they may have been actually trying to ditch their child, and only pretended it was a scare tactic after they were arrested.
