So with dad's spirit riding shotgun, I took my son Jack on his first fishing trip yesterday to the Filer Ponds. We didn't catch anything, but we had a good time!

My husband and I were told this by a lady  we met last Saturday at the State Fish Hatchery in Hagerman. We met her at Oster Lake #1 because we had felt the same way that morning: A relaxing day fishing seemed like a better alternative to chores.

The 29-year-old Freeport resident was out fishing for a red snapper with two coworkers about 50 miles off the Gulf of Mexico coast when they felt something hit the side of the boat. A few seconds later, the mammoth Mako was thrashing around inside the boat, much to Kresse and his posse's surprise.

And the results are just about what you'd expect.

TENNESSEE finished in last place on the list.  Only 51.8% of adults there do any sort of moderately-intense activity for at least two hours a week.
