Remember in 2007 when Apple had just unveiled the first ever Apple iPhone? Remember the buzz surrounding it? Remember how everyone was talking about it?
As of June 11th, 2013, the iPhone will be obsolete.
Now that there are over 1 billion smartphones out there, the time seems about right for there to be a next big thing. If Google's Sergey Bring has anything to say about it, the next big thing is going to be a computer you wear on your face. But what's Apple's answer to Google Glass? There's a lot of speculation out there that it might be some kind of smartwach. Does this mean everyone will get to talk into their wrists like James Bond? Or Dick Tracy?
Apple will release a 128GB iPad starting Tuesday, February 5th, and this latest model has twice the storage capacity of the current 64GB versions. For memory hounds keeping score, owners of the Galaxy Note, the BlackBerry Playbook, or the Kindle Fire have tablets that can hold up to 64GB. Microsoft's Surface Pro, which hits stores February 9th, is being released in a 64GB and 128GB version.
Maybe don't buy expensive electronics from Walmart. If this (NSFW) video is to be believed, they've all been tossed around and dropped on the floor repeatedly just for the hey of it.
Apple officially unveiled the newest iDevice, the iPad Mini. The cute little brother to the iPad features a 7.9 inch screen, guts lifted straight out of an iPad 2, and will be available to make dreams come true this holiday season.
Will an iPad Mini be on your Christmas list this year?
The iPhone's iOS6 upgrade has brought Siri closer to sentience. At least when it comes to movies; the "personal assistant" now evidently feels sympathy towards some of its misunderstood cinematic counterparts. Want to know Siri's take on 'Blade Runner'? It could make you look at it in a whole new light.
If you are one of the masses who likes all things new and shiny, then you're probably anxious to upgrade to iOS6.
In my opinion, every iOS upgrade has eventually turned out to be an improvement over the previous verions. That said, there are some things you should consider before you hit the "update" button.
People sure do love their iPhones, but they also can't seem to stop dropping them—good news for the booming iPhone-repair business. In fact, a recent accident survey by SquareTrade found that the American population has spent nearly $5.9 billion fixing their damaged phones since the first device hit the market in 2007.
In their now annual hardware events, Apple announced the new 'iPhone 5' today from the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. If you had been following the rumor mill on sites like Gizmodo, The Verge, and Engadget, they thought they had a pretty good idea of what Apple's new iPhone was going to look like.
Turns out they nailed it exactly.
There have been rumblings in the tech community for quite some time about the next generation of Apple's industry-leading iPhone. The successor to the best selling iPhone ever, the 4S, the "iPhone 5" or whatever Apple decides to call it, certainly has a lot to live up to. Not just sales-wise, but to carry the "iPhone" brand forward.
So what will the new iPhone look like? We think we already have a pretty good idea.
