The new version is in connection with the upcoming animated movie 'Rio,' which hits theaters on April 15.

In this installment, the Angry Birds are kidnapped and taken to Rio de Janeiro (duh), where they escape and attempt to save the two stars of 'Rio,' macaws Blu and Jewel.

According to the Rovio press release, the app "can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, from the Mac App Store for Mac computers, and for Android devices in the Amazon Appstore."
