BUTTE, Mont. (AP) — Authorities say they have arrested a suspect in a southwestern Montana shooting that left one man dead and two hospitalized.

Butte-Silver Bow County Sheriff Ed Lester says investigators tracked 48-year-old Tony Sawyer's cellphone to Idaho Falls, where he was arrested Wednesday. The Montana Standard reports Sawyer is being held on $1 million bond. He is facing one count of deliberate homicide and two counts of attempted deliberate homicide.

Authorities were searching for the gunman in a shooting that happened on Fish Creek Road, southwest of Whitehall, at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Emergency responders found one man dead with a gunshot wound to his head. The name of the 37-year-old victim was being withheld pending family notification. Two others were taken to the hospital in Butte. They were released Wednesday morning.
