KETCHUM, Id. ( KMVT / KSVT ) - The Sun Valley Center for the Arts is working on major art exhibit focusing on Craters of the Moon.

The Center just announced the National Endowment for the Arts has recommended the project for a $15,000 grant.

It also has funding from the Andy Warhol foundation and the City of Ketchum.

The project will feature multiple artists, all representing work inspired from the Craters of the Moon landscape.

"We started to think about how we want to get people to think about Craters in a different way and look at it in a slightly different way and really sort of celebrate Idaho landscape," said Kristin Poole, Sun Valley Center for the Arts.

The Craters of the Moon art exhibition is scheduled to open in May.

It will feature a gallery exhibition as well as two sculptures placed on site at the Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve.
