NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — A rare, Cold War era jet has arrived at the Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa. KTVB-TV reports that the F-104A Starfighter arrived Friday at the southwest Idaho museum.

Museum spokesman John-Curtiss Paul says the Starfighter is a supersonic fighter interceptor capable of traveling at twice the speed of sound in level flight.

The aircraft built in 1958 was eventually used for training in Taiwan and Jordan after being sold by the U.S. government. Curtiss Paul says the jet will be repainted with its original U.S. Air Force markings.
