JEROME, Id. ( KMVT/KSVT) An early morning stabbing in Jerome County left one person injured. Lt. Dan Kennedy with the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office said that around 4:30 A.M. Tuesday, deputies were called to a home at 246 North and 160 West where a female victim had been injured by a knife. The investigation led authorities to determine this was a home invasion and robbery.

The adult female victim reported that she was awakened by the sound of a chair moving downstairs. As she walked down stairs, she discovered a Hispanic male wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie. The suspect grabbed the victim from behind and held a sharp object to her neck. A second suspect had a goatee and was wearing a dark hoodie.

The victim said she thought she was punched in the stomach. Turns out she was stabbed. She was treated for her injuries and later released.

The first suspect is described as being 5-foot 9-inches tall, weighing 170 to 190-pounds. The second suspect who the victim said was larger, weighed around 250-pounds.

Authorities say if you have seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area around that time, or have information about the incident, to contact the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office at 324-1911.
