“This barbecue is a chance for the CARES team to celebrate the tireless work that our law enforcement, child protection safety assessors, victim advocates, prosecutors, medical providers and mental health providers do to protect children every day,” said Anne Tierney, coordinator of St. Luke’s CARES Magic Valley.

“At CARES, we work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team members on child abuse cases each day. We believe it is imperative that we take time to thank our multidisciplinary team members for their on-going commitment to keep children in our communities safe.

“The CARES appreciation barbecue is a great way for our entire team to relax, refresh and recharge over slow cooked ribs prepared by our CARES Medical director, Dr. Kathryn Reese.”

St. Luke’s CARES (Children at Risk Evaluation Services) is a neutral, child-friendly facility that works with abused and otherwise traumatized children and their families through a variety of services.

This was the third annual appreciation luncheon hosted by the CARES team.
