An executive member of Square Enix has admitted that the company will not be revealing any major developments of both Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV during next week's E3 presentation.

Two of the most anticipated role-playing games in the industry are going to be noticeably absent from E3 next week, according to Sqex.info. This is based off of a translated interview from Famitsu with Square Enix's Shinji Hashimoto. Hashimoto is a corporate executive for Square Enix's 1st Production Department and has been a high-ranking producer throughout much of the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series. The executive spoke with Famitsu about the company's plans for E3, and elaborated on the decision not to prominently feature Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV at the expo.

"We are are working diligently on KH3, but I think releasing new information will still take some time. We included a small part regarding the story of KH3 In the new trailer KH 2.5 prepared for E3 2014, so please check that out," Hashimoto said.

With regard to Final Fantasy XV, Hashimoto said, "First I’d like to say that development for FFXV is going well. Internally, we try to ascertain the best timing for revealing new information about FFXV to the fans. So when we were going over our promotion plans, we judged that this year’s E3 would not be the best time to exhibit information about FFXV."

While this is unfortunate news considering what both the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy franchises mean to Square Enix, we know that the company will still have a major presence at E3 next week. We expect to see more of Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV at later industry events this year, such as the Tokyo Game Show in September.
