IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in eastern Idaho say a snowmobiler has died after being struck by a car while attempting to cross U.S. Highway 20.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office tells the Post Register that Norman Zullin of Long Island, New York, died about 5:20 p.m. Saturday in the Island Park Village area.

Police say Zullin failed to yield at a stop sign for a trail crossing and was struck by the vehicle.

Zullin was wearing a helmet but received head injuries and died at the scene

The two occupants of the car were treated by emergency responders for minor injuries.
