Slick Conditions Close Interstate in Western Idaho

FRUITLAND, Idaho (KLIX)- Icy pavement and multiple crashes in Western Idaho has forced officials to shut down Interstate 84. According to Idaho State Police I-84 in both directions heading into and out of Oregon closed early Monday morning. Travelers were told not to get back on the road.

Motorists traveling westbound exited at 17, the Sand Hollow Exit.  Motorists were then directed through New Plymouth, Fruitland, and into Ontario.

Oregon Department of Transportation had eastbound I84 closed at Ontario.

At around 11:30am traffic was allowed back onto I-84.
