Southern Idaho Ski Resorts: What's Open This Holiday Season

Southern Idaho has had a fair amount of snow in the higher elevations, and as we slide into ski season, most if not all of our area ski resorts are open. Here's a quick list of ski resorts throughout Southern Idaho that will be open during the upcoming Holidays.

Magic Mountain Ski Resort: Open December 9, 2023

Magic Mountain Ski Resort sports 11 trails across 120 acres and officially opens for the season on December 9, 2023. Magic will be open Christmas Eve and closing early at 3:00 pm. Magic will be closed on Christmas Day but will be open the day after and through the New Year.

Pomerelle Ski Resort will not be open on Christmas Day

Pomerelle recently had a soft opening and is now officially open for the season. They'll be open every other day throughout the holidays except Christmas Day.

Solider Mountain: Open for the season, closed on Christmas Day

Soldier Mountain is open for the season, including both lifts, the magic carpet, and the lodge. Soldier Mountain will be open Christmas Eve from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm and closed Christmas Day.

Sun Valley Resort will be open on Christmas Day

In addition to skiing, Sun Valley has several activities on and around Christmas Day. Among them, are Christmas carolers, live music, a torchlight parade, and a fireworks display at Dollar Mountain. Check Sun Valley Resort’s website for details, pricing, and hours of operation.

Bogus Basin is open on Christmas Day

Bogus Basin is open with special holiday hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Both days, Bogus lifts will be running from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. You can check their website for more details and operating hours, including dining and other features.

Brundage Mountain will be open on Christmas Day

If you’re willing to take a trip to McCall, Brundage Mountain Resort is beautiful and open top to bottom, including Christmas Day. Santa and Mrs. Claus will even be shredding the slopes from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Christmas Day.
