MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) — Dismembered skeletal human remains have been found in a remote cabin and the property surrounding it in Boise County.

Idaho State Police say they found the remains on Tuesday during a search that resulted from new information. Investigators say the remains are likely those of Joshua James Reddington, who has been missing since May 26, 2000. Police say the death is likely a homicide, though a cause of death hasn't been determined.

The Salmon resident was 25 years old at the time he disappeared. He was last seen in Idaho City during the Memorial Day Weekend. Anyone with information about Reddington's disappearance is asked to contact police.
