MALTA, Idaho (KLIX)- A six year old is recovering at a Utah hospital after being thrown from a car near Malta Friday.

According to Idaho State Police the child was ejected when the car he was in rolled several times along the interstate at around 5:40pm. The child was not wearing a seat belt. Police say 26 year old Ashley Burns of Evanston, Wyoming was driving west in a sedan when she lost control of the vehicle.

Burns and her passenger were taken to Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burlery. The child was later flown to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. Burns was also not wearing a seat belt.
