Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Shoshone Falls grade is going to remain closed.

Last week the city was forced to close it down due to icy conditions.

Throughout the winter months the road doesn't get much sun and with the low temperatures the snow and ice doesn't melt.

City vehicles are unable to make it down and back up to clear the roadway.

"We would just rather have people not have worries about having accidents down there or being stuck down there, so closed it when it is this cold and when we have ice and snow on the roads. Hopefully next week our street department will go down there on Monday and Tuesday working on that and try to get it back open”, said Dennis Bowyer, director of the Twin Falls parks department.
