Shadow Warrior, Flying Wild Hog’s modern reboot of the 1997 PC game of the same name, has been available on Steam for almost a year. The developer promised that the over-the-top FPS would eventually come to next-gen consoles, but no release date had been announced until today. Destructoid is reporting that Shadow Warrior is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 26.

Published by Devolver Digital, Shadow Warrior was released on Steam Sept. 26, 2013, and was met with mostly positive reception. The game marks the return of the original protagonist, Lo Wang, whose combat skills are matched only by his penchant for toilet humor and offensive Asian stereotypes. Featuring enemy dismemberment and a slew of overpowered weapons, Shadow Warrior blends hyper-violence with tongue-in-cheek humor in a unique, demon-hunting experience.

Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Shadow Warrior will be priced at $40 when they reach store shelves. Steam players can purchase the full game for the same price, or pay $10 more for the Special Edition, which includes additional crossover weapons from other games. We're unsure whether or not the console versions of Shadow Warrior will include these crossover weapons, such as the Serious Sam 3 Sledgehammer, the Hotline Miami Machete, Saints Row IV’s “personal massager” and the Ice Axe from The Walking Dead.
