Workman and three other soldiers were trying to rescue an Afghan police officer who had been injured by a suicide bomb when their Black Hawk helicopter crashed  on April 19 in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan.  Col. Tim Marsano with the Idaho National Guard says Sgt. Workman was performing the role of an officer as a specialist, which he says is an unusual and commendable thing.  The Patriot Guard Riders, State Police, and National Guard were all at the ceremony. A public funeral service is scheduled for Thursday in Eagle, and a public interment is set for Friday in Rupert.
