Several Culverts Set for Repair in Twin Falls

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- The city of Twin Falls will begin patching holes in underground water ways. Last year a number of culverts failed causing some holes in several streets. Monday City crews will begin replacing those culverts before the spring irrigation season begins. Several streets and back alleys will have to be closed down while crews replace the damaged culverts. The repairs should take about month.

The first section to be replaced will be a segment between Harrison Street and Tyler Street on the north side of Addison Avenue. This will require the closure of the westbound lane on Addison Avenue between Harrison and Van Buren, so City street workers can fix the alley approach. The other two culverts are located south of Filer Avenue at Bracken Street, as well as the adjacent alley. Both have deteriorated to the point of failure and are currently trench plated.
