Nominations will be accepted online through Oct. 21. Nominees and winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony on Jan. 18 in Boise.

Idaho's Brightest Stars is a program that recognizes outstanding Idaho volunteers in a variety of categories.

Nominees must be Idaho residents who have performed volunteer service in 2016, according to the Idaho Department of Labor. Companies must conduct business in Idaho to be eligible. Individuals may submit more than one nomination per category or in multiple categories.

A Serve Idaho panel will review nominations, and Idaho Lt. Gov. Brad Little will select winners in each category. He will also present the awards at the ceremony in January.
