Russell Dickerson is giving fans unprecedented access to his life on the road in a new video series titled This Is Russ.

The rising country singer is sharing scenes from his daily life on tour in the new series of vlogs, the title of which is a play on the hit TV series This Is Us. In the debut episode — which is premiering exclusively with Taste of Country today — he explains the thought process behind the new series.

"There's only so much you can communicate on an Instagram Story or an Instagram post or picture, one minute at a time," Dickerson states in the video above. "I was like, 'Dude, let's just ... I wanna hang out with these peeps more. I figured I'd start off giving you a little tour of the bus."

He proceeds to show fans around his nicely decorated tour bus, introducing everyone to his wife, Kailey, who handled the decor, and his drummer. He also pokes fun at his own wildly mismatched outfit before taking the camera on a tour of the backstage area at the venue he's performing in that evening,

After showing fans the mundanities of catering and preparing for the show, Dickerson also films part of his actual performance onstage, letting fans experience the roar of the crowd from his perspective.

The video is the debut of a new series that will see Dickerson sharing intimate scenes from his road life with fans on a regular basis via YouTube.

Dickerson shot to success with the 2017 release of his debut full-length album, Yours. The album's title song reached No. 1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, as did its follow-up, "Blue Tacoma." Dickerson's current single is "Every Little Thing."

The singer is joining Carly Pearce on the road in 2019 for the Way Back Tour, which kicked off on Jan. 24.
