RUPERT, Idaho -- One person was killed and another injured in a rollover crash near Rupert early Sunday morning.

Idaho State Police say at about 12:40 a.m., 18-year-old Dakota B. Twiss, of Paul, was driving north on 100 East when she missed a curve in the road. The car went onto the shoulder, struck railroad tracks, and flipped over landing upside down on the tracks. Twiss and her passenger, 18-year-old Mylee Pratt, of Paul, were taken to Minidoka Memorial Hospital, where Twiss was pronounced dead.

Neither of the women were wearing their seat belts, police said. The intersection of 100 East and 100 North was blocked for nearly eight hours while crews worked to clear the scene. Troopers are still investigating the crash.
