Rovio Introduces the Cast of Angry Birds Stella

Be ready to slingshot your way through the Golden Island in this newest addition to the Angry Birds universe.

Rovio Entertainment means to formally introduce us to the cast of Angry Birds Stella. This game is the latest spin-off to Rovio's immensely popular Angry Birds franchise and seeks to bring more personality by bringing in this squad of slingshot-swaying squawkers. Stella is the main bird of this expansion and will be accompanied by her five cohorts, Luca, Dahlia, Willow, Poppy and the sinister Gale. As always, the series' infamous green Piggies are up to no good, and it's up to Stella and her friends to stop them.

Having Stella at the forefront imbues this game with a sense of female heroism along with a sense of character that other Angry Birds titles may have been lacking. Angry Birds Stella will load up its slingshot this September for iOS and Android devices. There is also an animated tie-in series coming this November.
