BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Romanian man and woman are being deported to their home country after being convicted of immigration fraud in Idaho. Ramona Alina Fenesan, who is 32, and Florin Fleischer, 34, also lost their property in Idaho as a result of Monday's sentence in U.S. District Court. Living near Ketchum, both married U.S. citizens in the fall of 2003, with the intent of securing U.S. citizenship.

They later won citizenship, after which they divorced their U.S. spouses and married each other. Brad Bench, special agent with U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Citizenship and Immigration Services, says citizenship in this country is a privilege and reserved only for those who pursue it legally. Bench says this case shows his agency will pursue people who try to remain in the country through fraudulent means.
